JAMMU, Feb 10: J&K Shiv Sena unit demanded that the LG led administration should fulfill the demands of protesting Kashmiri Hindu employees posted in Valley before the upcoming Shivratri festival.
This was stated by UT chief Manish Sahni while addressing the press conference at Party’s central office, here today.
He demanded the safe posting of Kashmiri Pandits/ Hindu working in Kashmir by implementing the transfer policy and said that the Government should leave its stubbornness of making these employees scapegoats and transfer them to safer places in Jammu region.
Sahni said that the Hindus employees working under the PM Package in Kashmir were being treated like bonded laborers and forced to become scapegoats.
Describing the Government’s claims of rehabilitating Kashmiri Pandits/Hindus as merely rhetoric, Sahni said that providing jobs and temporary accommodation to only 4200 Kashmiri Pandits can never mean rehabilitation of the entire community.
Sahni demanded the Central Government and the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to implement the transfer policy and attach Kashmiri Hindus to various central departments.
He said that the PM package funds are provided directly by the Center so the administration should depute them to central departments like (Election Commission of India, NTPC, NHPC, etc.) or UT Ladakh.
President women’s wing Meenakshi Chhibber, general secretary Vikas Bakshi, president Kamgar wing Raj Singh, women secretaries Sukhwinder Kaur and Yawar Habib were present during the press briefing.
