Govt sets up ‘Follow-up-Cell’

JAMMU, May 27: The Government today ordered setting up of  a ‘Follow-up Cell’ in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat to maintain record of directions/decisions of the Chief Minister and track the status of their implementation.
An official order said records of erstwhile ‘Monitoring Cell’, which was set up on July 15, 2010 by the previous Government, will be handed over to the Director, Plan Monitoring and Project Appraisal, Planning and Development Department.
“The `Follow-up-Cell’ will be headed by an IAS officer. The staff, which was working in the erstwhile Monitoring Cell shall be deemed to have been transferred to the newly created Cell,” the order said.
The previous `Monitoring Cell’ was working under the Finance Department.
