Govt sets up ‘Arbitration Cell’

JAMMU, Dec 17: The Jammu and Kashmir Government today accorded sanction to the constitution of an `Arbitration Cell’ to deal with the arbitration matters in the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.
Special Secretary, Law Department will be the Chairman while representative of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Department as Member Secretary. Six other members of the Cell will be – Addl Secy /Dy Secy Law Deptt, representative from the concerned Administrative Department, Chief Engineer concerned, Technical Officer involved in the execution of a contract, Law Officer posted in the concerned department and the representative of the office of Ld. Advocate General, J&K, (AAG/DyAG), having knowledge and experience in dealing with arbitration matters.
