JAMMU, Apr 27: Governm-ent is serious about the genuine issues of teaching community and the top  officials and machinery of the department are  busy to take a way for all grievances of teaching community including salary issue of ReT teachers, said Minister for  Education, Altaf Bhukhari to a delegation of ReT teachers Forum at Civil Secretariat Jammu.
He further assured that Government is serious to maintain the dignity of teaching community in all aspects so the noble community will be able to perform their noble duty with more dedication.
A high level delegation of AJKRETTF Forum, led by its State vice president Bhupinder Singh called on Education Minister Altaf Bukhari and Forest Minister Ch Lal Singh to discuss various burning issues of ReT community. Delegation discussed all of the burning issues of ReT teachers with Ministers in detail, which include streamlining of salary, transfer policy etc.
The Minister assured for all possible help by the present Government and announced that a conference of ReT teachers will be held at Jammu around 1st June in which Govt will listen all the issues of ReT teachers for their immediate redressal. He further said that in the conference, all the officials of the department will be present and possible positive steps for teachers will be taken on the spot. Minister assured that salary matter and transfer policy of ReTs is already under consideration of the Government and there are expectations for their redressal within a short span of time.
Minister for Forest, Ch Lal Singh said that every one knows ReTs have brought a revolution in the department at a crucial time when maximum number of schools of the hilly areas was closed. He further said that for bringing literacy rate to a level, ReT teachers have played a significant role, which cannot be forgotten. He assured that all the grievances of the community are genuine and need early redressal.
The meeting was attended by Kuldeep Katoch, Pritam Dhiman, Surjeet Singh, Amrish, Lekh Raj, Gulzar Ahmed, Rampaul, Ishwar Singh, Sanjay, Mangal Singh and others.
