Govt school children

Sir,
I would like to bring into the kind notice of all  that neither out legislators whom  we elect  nor the executives are serious about the functioning of Govt. schools. There is shortage of teaching staff, class-rooms, toilets etc. The presence of teachers is the foremost requirement for educating the children. Although there is shortage of teachers,  a number of teachers are engaged for surveys, census, election duties like BLO’s for months together depriving the children of their fundamental right: right to education.
Tall claims are made by our legislators, executives, politicians etc. whenever there are seminars on child rights, RTE etc. but no one ever tries to ensure the presence of teachers in schools sparing them from all extra-academic duties. Perhaps, children enrolled at Govt schools belong to poor and downtrodden families that is why nobody cares for their education. Hon’ble Supreme Courts verdict of 2007 whereby it has been mentioned that teachers can’t be deployed for any election duty during schooling hours but teachers still work as BLO’s leaving the children to their fate. There are more than four lac employees in our State and all duties like census, survyes, BLO’s etc. can be easily handed over to employees of departments other than school education so that Govt school children can have access to break-free education like all those studying in private schools, KVs etc.
Yours etc…
