JAMMU, June 22: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has reconstituted the High Level Steering Committee (HLSC) for implementation of ‘Support for Statistical Strengthening’ (SSS) Scheme in the Union Territory of J&K.
Headed by Chief Secretary as the Chairman, the committee shall consider and recommend the project report on ‘SSS’ for approval by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation of India.
It shall oversee the implementation and monitoring of the SSS Plan in the Union Territory of J&K and issue necessary guidelines to the line departments associated with Support for Statistical Strengthening and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) for extending full cooperation to the nodal officers/agencies.
The committee shall be comprising Administrative Secretaries of Finance, Information Technology, Planning, Development & Monitoring Department, representative from Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, GoI, Director General Economics & Statistics, J&K, Director General, Planning, Marketing & Concurrent Evaluation (PM&CE), Planning, Development & Monitoring Department as the Members.
