Govt ready to discuss every issue threadbare: PM

NEW DELHI, Nov 18: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said here today that Government is ready to discuss each and every issue threadbare.
Addressing the media on his arrival at the Parliament House, on the first day of the winter session, Prime Minister observed that this is the last Parliamentary session of the year 2019 and at the same time, also the historic 250th session of the Rajya Sabha. He referred to the rich legacy of Indian Parliament and the need to live up to it.
Narendra Modi recalled that the last session of the Parliament had been very fruitful, with the disposal of some very important business and, significant legislations and bills. He hoped that the session of the Parliament beginning today will also offer an opportunity to project the issues related to the people of India and assured that his Government is in favour of discussing each issue in a healthy and constructive manner with a positive approach.
For the successful conduct of Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, the credit goes not to any single individual or Member but to each and every Member of the House. He said, what is achieved through Parliamentary discussion and deliberation is in fact an accomplishment for each and every Member of the House.
Later, while addressing the Rajya Sabha on the first day of its 250th session, Narendra Modi quoted from the speeches made by the first Chairman of the House Dr S. Radha Krishnan and also mentioned the reference with regard to Article 370 made in the Upper House by Gopala Swamy Ayenger. He said, it is a historic coincidence that the Bill revoking Article 370 was first passed by the Rajya Sabha and later by the Lok Sabha.
