JAMMU, Dec 16: To deliberate on the issue of formulation of rehabilitation scheme for survivors of rape cases, the State Government today constituted a committee.
Headed by Secretary Social Welfare Department as the Chairman, the four member committee will comprise representatives of Department of Home, Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs and an NGO.
While the representative of Government Departments will not below the rank of Additional Secretary, the NGO representative will be nominated by the State Commission for Women.
Formation of the committee is in consequent to a writ petition, number 138 of 2013, titled Dharampal versus State of Haryana and others.
