JAMMU, Mar 28:  In compliance with the judgment of the State High Court, the State Government has ordered that all the departments shall compulsorily tender all works/procurements costing more than Rs one lakh through e-tendering.
The fresh order has been  issued today by the Finance Department in suppression of earlier circular number A/21(2003)Misc-A-531 dated 19-09-2016.
It may be recalled that Information Technology Department circular vide number 05-ITD of 2015, dated 20-05-2015, urging the department to tender compulsorily all works/procurements costing more than Rs one lakh through e-tendering, was  reviewed and the downward  limit was raised to Rs 10 lakh vide circular No. A/21(2003)-Misc-A-531 dated 10-09-2016.
However, the Govt circular on raising of the downward limit was stayed  following  a petition in the High Court, which has now disposed of the  writ petition directing to keep the lmit unchanged at Rs one lakh.
