JAMMU: Government today ordered closure of four illegal establishments and consultation clinics in this winter capital of the State.
The Directorate of Health Services, Jammu, has conducted surprise inspection of Hardas Orthopedic OPD Clinic, near Airport, Gadhigarh, Jammu, Dr Gurvinder Singh’s Hargun OPD Clinic, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, Fortis Escorts OPD Clinic, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu and Amandeep Multi-specialty OPD Clinic, Greater Kailash Chowk, Jammu and found that these Private Clinics were not working according to the norms of Nursing Homes and Clinical Establishments, official spokesperson here said.
He said the health Department has ordered immediate closure of the clinics. He said that a team of senior officers of the Department comprising of Dr Ved Parkash Sharma, Deputy Director Health Services (Schemes) and Dr Robinder Khajuria, Chief Medical Officer, Jammu was framed to carry out surprise inspections. ‘
‘The team found that these clinical establishments were being run without proper registration under the Department,” said the spokesperson, adding that following which the clinics were closed. (UNI)
