JAMMU, Jan 31: The Government today made certain modifications in respect of financial powers delegated in favour of the Administrative Secretaries.
“The Administrative Secretaries will have powers to release funds (scheme/object wise) authorized by the Finance Department in favour of the departments under their administrative control,” a GAD order said.,
Other powers vested with the Administrative Secretaries include sanction of advance drawls up to Rs one crore with concurrence of the DF/FA&CAO, delegation of DDO powers in respect of the officers of the departments under their control, all advance of drawl cases beyond an amount of Rs one crore with prior concurrence of the Finance Department, issuance of Government guarantees with concurrence of the Finance Department and to allot contract for purchase of stores, supplies and services on the recommendation of the Purchase Committee.
