SRINAGAR, Oct 9: The State Government today modified J&K Skill Development Mission with Governor as its Chairman in place of Chief Minister.
An official spokesman said that in partial modification to the Govt Order No. 678-GAD of 2016, dated 27-06-2016, it is here by ordered that now Governor will be the Chairman of the mission in place of Chief Minister. Advisor (V) to the Governor shall be the Member of the J&K Skill Development Mission in place of Finance Minister; Advisor (K) to the Governor shall be the Member in place of Minister for Labour and Employment, whereas, Advisor (G) to the Governor shall be the Member of the Mission in place of Minister for Technical Education.
The minister for concerned Trade Sector as at Serial No. 5 in the composition of the Mission shall be deemed to have been deleted from the Mission list. The members figuring at serial No. 6 to 10 and terms and conditions as contained in the Skill Development Mission constituted as per order of 2016 shall remain unchanged.
For Governing Council of the Mission, Advisor (G) to Governor shall be the Chairman of the Council in place of Minister for Technical Education, IT and Sports. Advisor (V) to the Governor shall be the Member of the Council for the Mission in place of Finance Minister. Advisor (K) to the Governor shall be the Member in place of Industries Minister. Minister for Labour and Employment as at S No. 4 in the composition of the Council of the Mission, shall be deemed to have been deleted from the GC whereas, the members figuring at serial No. 5 to 15 and terms and conditions as contained in the Governing Council of the Skill Development Mission constituted on 27-6-2016, shall remain unchanged.
