Srinagar, Aug 30: The Government has no proposal to increase the stipend of the sarpanchs and Panchs.
Minister of Panchayati Raj Ali Mohammad Sagar today told the Legislative Council that the sarpanches and panches are being paid Rs 2000 per month and Rs 500 per sitting respectively.
Sagar said the there is no proposal for enhancement of their honorarium.
