Govt frames Advisory Committee for selection to professional courses

JAMMU, Apr 20: The Government of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has constituted an Advisory Committee to formulate policies regarding selection of candidates to various professional courses in J&K.
The Committee shall frame policies for the smooth and transparent functioning of the Board, devise policies to ensure efficient conduct of the entrance tests, suggest measures for maintenance of records of the entrance tests conducted by Board, approve any contingency plan prepared by the Board and annual report prepared by the Board.
Chairman of the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations will be the Convener of the Advisory Committee. The other Members of the Committee are- Chairman, J&K Board of School Education; Chairman, Permanent Statutory Committee; Controller, Central Board of Secondary Examination, New Delhi; Dean Academic Affairs of J&K Universities and SKIMS to be nominated by VCs/ Director SKIMS; Dean, Colleges Development Council of Jammu and Kashmir Universities; one HOD of each of J&K Universities as recommended by VCs; Principals of Govt Dental Colleges of Jammu, Srinagar and ASCOMS; Principals of Govt Dental Colleges Jammu, Srinagar and IDS Jammu; Representative of Higher Education Deptt not below the rank of Addl Secy; Representatives of Health and Medical Education Deptt, ARI & Trainings, GAD, Skill Development and Law and Justice Departments not below the rank of Addl Secy; One Principal each of the college from Jammu/Kashmir having specialization in the subjects- Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English to be nominated by concerned VC; One Professor and one Associate Professor each of the Universities of Jammu and Kashmir having specialization in the above mentioned five subjects; One Principal each of the Higher Secondary Schools of Jammu and Kashmir having specialization in the subjects PCM and English to be nominated by Director School Education, Kashmir’/ Jammu; Controller J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations; Secretary J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations and one Lecturer each from Higher Secondary School of the Jammu and Kashmir having specialization in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English to be nominated by Director, School Education Jammu/ Kashmir.
