Govt forms Expert Advisory Board for Smart City SPVs

JAMMU, Apr 19: Government of J&K UT today constituted an Expert Advisory Board for the Smart City Special Purpose Vehicle of Jammu and Srinagar.
Headed by Keshav Verma, Chairman Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation, the Expert Advisory Board shall advise the Government/board of Director of the two SPVs of Smart Cities on planning, design and implementation of Urban Infrastructure Projects in the J&K UT, including those on Urban Mobility, Heritage and Sustainable Development.
The panel shall also assist in identifying the gaps, building capacity and strengthening the urban sector in the J&K UT. The term of the Board shall be for two years, initially.
O P Aggarwal, CEO, WRI India and senior urban transport specialist; Dr Bimal Patel, President of CEPT University in Ahmedabad and Chairman of school of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal; Habeeb Khan, Chairman, Council of Architecture and Dr Rajesh Gopal, Secretary General Global Tiger Forum are members of the advisory board.
