Govt fails to provide health facilities in Udhampur: Mankotia

UDHAMPUR, June 2: Lambasting the UT Government for ill planning and casual approach in providing health facilities in Udhampur during this pandemic, Former MLA Udhampur Balwant Singh Mankotia staged protest demonstration against step motherly treatment of the UT Government at Slathia Chowk, here today.
Mankotia blamed that the Udhampur is being treated step-motherly by the Government even in this COVID-19 pandemic. He disclosed that recently the machinery of the oxygen plant in Udhampur was returned back overnight, due to which the Corona patients died due to non-availability of high flow oxygen, along with the ventilators which were lying in the hospital for the last one year are non functional till yet.
“Many people are dying every day due to non-proper functioning of 108 ambulance services here and asked the Government don’t playing with the lives of people which will never be tolerated,” Mankotia warned.
Mankotia alleged that the Government has proved to be completely unsuccessful on the neglect of the people and the health system in Udhampur which has collapsed in a complete way, due to which our people are continuously losing their lives and he asked Government should fix the accountability of officers for their lapse during this pandemic.
Mankotia said that if the Government does not stop the step-motherly behaviour with the people of Udhampur, then in the coming days people will be forced to come out on the streets and start a strong agitation against the Government.
Councillor Jagdish Kumar, Councillor Samnik Bhasin, Councillor Darshan Kumar, Sarpanch Sunil Manohar, Sarpanch Ashok Kumar, Hans Raj, Khem Raj besides youth leaders including Sushil Kumar, Pawan Singh and Krishan Singh were present during the protest.
