JAMMU, Feb 27: Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) of State Government employees has alleged that Government has failed to resolve the pending issues of the employees.
In a meeting of the JCC held today under the chairmanship of AQ Wani (EJAC-president), the members reviewed the situation arising after the JCC called off its proposed February 14-15 strike programme. It was regretted that the State Government is on the track of politicizing the sincerity and good intensions of the employees and is once again going to back track from its own agreement.
The members expressed their surprise as to why the recently promises made by the Chief Minister and the assurances given by the Cabinet Sub Committee members, did not show any positive results in respect of executing the genuine demands of the employees and withdrawal of the draconian laws like ESMO/ Dies-Non/ no work-no pay etc. The Government seems to be non-serious on the regularization of daily rated and other consolidated/ad hoc workers, removing pay anomalies and enhancement of retirement age, they said.
Mr Wani expressed that this attitude of the Government would certainly compel the employees to come out again on the roads. Their sincerity should not be considered as their weakness, he maintained.
