Govt failed to settle problems of Pandits: JTC

JAMMU, Dec 8: A meeting of the Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) was held here today under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, President JTC and Soan Kashmir Front J&K. Addressing the meeting Pandita lambasted State and Central Governments for its total failure in redressing the grievance of the people. He alleged that State and Central Government which claimed to work for development of the State has done nothing till date.
Pandita has said that there seems a grave conspiracy to evict the Hindu community from Kashmir Valley and defeat the Central Government intentions of rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandit migrant community in the Valley who crave for return to their homeland.
Mr. Pandita has said that some vested interests and members of political parties are misleading the community by raising voice that the Kashmiri Pandit Migrants are not willing for their rehabilitation in Kashmir Valley. He has warned such element to desist from such activities which is likely to hamper the cause of the Pandit community.
He also demanded compensation for the losses suffered by Kashmiri Pandit migrants due to damages to their properties in Kashmir Valley during past 26 years of migration. He has further said that each and every migrant family has been suffering yearly loss of Rs. 2.00 lacs due to damages to their properties.
