Govt establishes 12 offices of DDPs, transfers 5 CPOs

JAMMU, Dec 10: The Government accorded sanction to the establishment of 12 offices of the Deputy Director Prosecutions (DDPs) with their jurisdiction and headquarters.
According to the order, DDP Srinagar will have its headquarter at Srinagar, while DDP Anantnag-Kulgam-Shopian will have its headquarter at Anantnag, DDP Budgam and Pulwama will have its headquarter at Budgam, DDP Ganderbal and Bandipora will have its headquarter at Ganderbal and DDP Baramulla will have its headquarter at Baramulla.
DDP Jammu will have its headquarter at Jammu, DDP Kathua and Samba will have its headquarter at Kathua, DDP Rajouri and Poonch will have its headquarter at Rajouri, DDP Udhampur and Reasi will have its headquarter at Udhampur, DDP Doda and Kishtwar will have its headquarter at Doda and DDP Ramban will have its headquarter at Ramban.
Meanwhile, Maroof Ahmed Manhas has been posted as Deputy Director Prosecution (DDP) Srinagar and will hold the additional charge of the post of DDP Ganderbal-Bandipora till further orders, while Riyaz Ahmed Darzi has been posted as DDP Anantnag-Kulgam-Shopian and will hold the additional charge of the post of DDP Budgam-Pulwama till further orders and Murtaza Nasir has been posted as DDP Baramulla and will hold the additional charge of the post of DDP Kupwara till further orders.
Parshotam Lal has been posted as DDP Jammu and will hold the additional charge of the post of DDP Rajouri-Poonch, Pawan Kumar Khajuria has been posted as DDP Kathua-Samba, Mahesh Kumar has been posted as DDP Udhampur-Reasi and Ravinder Kumar Rao has been posted as DDP Doda-Kishtwar and will hold the additional charge of the post of DDP Ramban till further orders.
In another order, Home Department has ordered transfer and posting of 5 members of J&K Prosecution Service with immediate effect.
According to the order, Aejaz Ahmad Bhat, CPO has been transferred and posted as CPO in the office of Director General of Prosecution, while Mohammad Shafi, CPO has been transferred and posted as CPO in the Armed Police Headquarters and Ghulam Jeelani Dar, CPO has been transferred and posted as CPO in the Anti Corruption Bureau.
Ashish Rathore, CPO under orders of transfer will continue at his present place of posting i.e Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur and Rajesh Gill, CPO has been transferred and posted as CPO in the Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur.
In one more order, Home Department has ordered appointment of 11 officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Prosecution Service as Public Prosecutor(s)/Additional Public Prosecutor(s) for conducting criminal cases in the courts.
Mumtaz Saleem Mir, Additional Public Prosecutor will conduct criminal cases in 1st Additional District and Sessions Judge Srinagar and 2nd Additional District and Sessions Judge Srinagar, while Aijaz Hussain, Additional Public Prosecutor will conduct criminal cases in Additional District and Sessions Judge Srinagar and Mohammad Ashraf Bakshi, Public Prosecutor will conduct criminal cases in Principal, District and Sessions Judge Kulgam.
Afaq Ahmad Peer, Public Prosecutor will conduct criminal cases in Principal District and Sessions Judge Anantnag, while Suresh Kumar, Additional Public Prosecutor will conduct criminal cases in Additional District and Sessions Judge Jammu and Irshad Ahmad Sheikh, Public Prosecutor will conduct criminal cases in Principal District and Sessions Judge Kishtwar.
Vikrant Sharma, Additional Public Prosecutor will conduct criminal cases in Additional District and Sessions Judge Kathua, while Satish Kumar, Public Prosecutor will conduct criminal cases in Principal District and Sessions Judge Kathua, Farooq Ahmad Malik, Public Prosecutor will conduct criminal cases in Principal District and Sessions Judge Shopian, Aijaz Ahmad Wani, Additional Prosecutor will conduct criminal cases in Additional District and Sessions Judge Anantnag and Surrinder Kumar, Additional Public Prosecutor will conduct criminal cases in Additional District and Sessions Judge Doda.
