Govt Employees, Workers Federation highlights demands

JAMMU, May 23: Jammu and Kashmir Government Employees and Workers Federation held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Kulwant Singh and discussed various problems being faced by them.
While speaking, Kulwant Singh expressed anguish over the anti-employees and anti-workers attitude of the Government.
He said that the Government is not serious to redress the issues of the employees in general and Handicraft Department employees in particular working under New Pension Scheme.
He demanded enhancement of medical allowances to Rs 1,000, regularization of daily wagers working in different departments, release of salary of ReT teachers working under SSA and release of DA in favour of employees due from January 1, 2014.
It was decided in the meeting that a team of Federation will visit all districts of the State and prepare the employees to launch a decisive struggle in near future if Government fails to redress their issues.
Among others present were LR Khajuria, Shahid Hussain, Subash Chander, Suresh Kumar, Balbir Singh, Rajesh Kumar, Manohar Lal, Parminder Singh, KS Jamwal, Deep Chand, KS Khalsa, etc.
