DODA, Aug 27: A Government employee has been arrested for raping a girl on marriage pretext.
As per police sources, a girl lodged a complaint with police station Doda stating that a man namely made physical relations with her on the pretext that he will marry her, but later refused.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 179/17 under Section 376 RPC was registered at Doda police station and the rapist, who is a Government employee, has been arrested.
The arrested person has been identified as Shoaib Ahmed Sheikh, AD, Planning Chief Education Office Doda, son of late Shabir Ahmed Sheikh, a resident of Chakka, tehsil Bhaderwah.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
