SRINAGAR, Nov 28: Expressing serious concern over the failure of State Govt on all fronts, former Minister and senior Congress leader Taj Mohi-ud-Din has said that State Govt has failed to provide basic facilities to the people living in far-flung area and elsewhere.
Addressing a workers convention at Chandanwari in Uri Assembly segment here today, Mr Taj castigated Coalition Govt led by PDP for not paying heed towards the problems confronting people of Uri in respect of health care, essential commodities and developmental front. This is unfortunate that the attitude of Coalition Govt about the well being of the people in Uri is indifferent and step motherly, he said.
Criticizing State Govt for not addressing main issues of the people, Taj Mohi-ud-Din censured Coalition Govt of PDP and BJP for ignoring people on political lines and warned that it is fraught with dangerous consequences, he said.
The senior Cong leader said that Uri is the most neglected part of J&K on developmental front, the developmental projects started during previous Congress- NC Govt have been stopped on political lines causing huge loss to this far flung area of the State. He lamented the fact that the authority of Panchayat Institutions are being undermined, for the fact, PDP led Coalition Govt doesn’t allow Panchayat bodies to function aiming to get benefitted politically, he said.
He said Congress Party is committed to fight against discrimination and injustice. It will not allow anyone to ignore people on political lines, he said.
