Govt directive on foreign visits

JAMMU, Feb 15: The Government today directed officers/officials working in various Government Departments/PSUs/ Boards/ Commissions not to undertake any foreign visit on private affairs without prior approval of the Government.
In an order issued today, Commissioner/ Secretary General Administration Department (GAD) Manoj Dwivedi directed the Administrative Secretaries and Head of Departments (HoDs) to take note of instructions, initiate appropriate action against the defaulters and don’t process any case for post facto sanction.
Citing procedure for granting permission in favour of Government employees for private visits to the foreign countries, the GAD order said the station permission for proceeding outside the country on private affairs shall be granted by the Administrative Department in the same manner as leave outside the country.
