JAMMU, Oct 19: Government today constituted a UT Level Project Monitoring Committee for monitoring of key infrastructure projects being implemented in the Union Territory and accelerating their pace of execution.
Headed by the Chief Secretary as Chairman, the committee shall be comprising Principal Secretary Jal Shakti Department, Principal Secretary Industries & Commerce Department, Principal Secretary Housing & Urban Development Department, Principal Secretary Higher Education Department, Principal Secretary Public Works (R&B) Department, Principal Secretary PDD, Commissioner Secretary Information Technology Department and Administrative Secretary Health and Medical Education Department as the Members while Secretary Planning Development and Monitoring Department is the Member Secretary.
Any other Administrative Secretary/District Development Commissioner(s) may be co-opted as member of the Committee, as and when required.
The PMG team will help to expedite issues, resolution and fast tracking of approvals of UT projects with an anticipated investment of Rs 10 crores or more. It shall monitor key infrastructure projects being executed at UT/District level.
