JAMMU, Dec 30: The State Government has constituted a committee to examine the genuineness of the tariff quoted for installation of Waste to Energy Plant at Achan, Srinagar, by the bidder during the tariff-based bidding, done by the Srinagar Municipal Corporation.
The committee, headed by Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, shall examine the genuineness of the tariff quoted by the successful bidder and also take into account the views of the successful bidders for cost of the project as well as tariff quoted.
The committee will also look into the factor, both macro/micro, which are unique to the installation of projects, in J&K, particularly in Kashmir Valley, which have ramifications on costs and thus need to be factored in the overall tariff, including the issue of land for dumping in the absence of such facility.
The committee shall submit its report along with its recommendations by or before January 3, 2016.
Development Commissioner Power, Director Finance, Housing and Urban Development Department, Chief Engineer EM&RE, Kashmir and Joint Director Planning, Housing and Urban Development, are members of the committee.
