Govt committed to provide all basic amenities: Kavinder

JAMMU, Dec 26: Former Deputy Chief Minister and Senior BJP leader Kavinder Gupta today toured Nai Basti, Ward Number 23 falling in Gandhi Nagar Constituency and took the stock of basic amenities in the area. He also visited the sites of ongoing developmental works in the area.
Gupta was accompanied by BJP District team comprising Vinay Gupta, BJP District President, Bharat Bhushan Mandal President, Hardev Singh, Raj Singh, Puran Chand, Mehra, Renu Gupta, Naveen, Purshotem, Lokesh, Devinder Vaid and Satish Jandyal.
Residents of the area put forth some demands related to water shortage and drainage problem.
Speaking on the occasion, Gupta said that Government is committed to provide all basic amenities like adequate drinking water, power, education, healthcare facilities and other civic facilities to the people of J&K especially the areas where there is either shortage of water supply or where the pipes are damages and the new colonies.
On the occasion Gupta said the directions have already been passed to the concerned for identification of habitations where there is shortage of water and also they were asked to prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) where either the Over Head Tanks or the Bore wells are required and submit the same so that the matter is taken up with the Government for accord of necessary arrangement of funds.
On the demand of the upgradation of drainage system, Gupta assured the public that the left out works will be brought into the notice of concerned agencies and will be taken up for the execution within shortest possible time.
Gupta said that it is the responsibility of the concerned officers and engineers to conduct field survey and project plans on priority. Referring to the developmental works under execution in Gandhi Nagar Constituency, Gupta said that the construction of various developmental projects is apace and on completion of these schemes it will change the socio-economic conditions of the people of the area.
He also listened to other grievances of the assured the public all the legitimate demands shall be met out soon. Gupta said the matter shall be taken up with the concerned authorities on priority.
On the statements issued by the former MLA of Congress from the constituency regarding BJP, Gupta said it is the principle of Congress leaders that they have made a habit of befooling the public. He said they are visionless and don’t have guts to appreciate the steps taken by Modi Government.
