Visthapit Samiti releases calendar

JAMMU, Jan 24: PoJK Visthapit Sewa Samiti, Jammu Kashmir affiliated to Jammu Kashmir Peoples Forum released its calendar for the year 2023 at Press Club, here, today.
The calendar was released by Vibodh Gupta, Ex-MLC, and general secretary BJP. While releasing the calendar he mentioned that this calendar is unique and first of its kind as it depicts the religious sites like Mandirs, Gurudwaras and Buddhist sites located in Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The main purpose is to make displaced persons of Pakistan Occupied Jammu Kashmir (PoJK) particularly and all the citizens of India generally aware about the pious places of worship left in PoJK which form our rich cultural heritage.
Vibodh said PoJK includes districts of Mirpur, Muzaffrabad, few tehsils of Poonch, Gilgit and Baltistan which are strategically and geo-politically very significant. He also said that Parliament of India has already passed a resolution on 22nd February 1994 which states that Pakistan must vacate the territories of J&K which it has illegally occupied through aggression. POJK is an integral part of India and Government is committed to bring it back. He asserted that PoJK displaced persons have vowed to settle back into their lands.
The religious places depicted month wise in the calendar are Ban Ganga temple at Khurrata, Kotli in January Calendar, Gurdwara near Mangla Dam located in Mirpur in February Calendar, Gurdwara Har Govind Singh, Muzaffarabad, Rawlakot Poonch in March, Kirtangarh Gurdwara Mirpur in April, Mangla Mata Temple in May, Shiv Temple of Bhimber in June, Shiv Temple Main Bazaar, Mirpur in July, Gossai Temple Mirpur in August, Namkian Sahib Gurdwara Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan in September, Raghunath Temple, Mirpur in October, Sharada Peeth Temple, Neelum Valley and Manthal Buddhist Rock at Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan in November, Sun Temple at Mandole, Poonch in December.
