Govt committed to equitable development: Vibodh

JAMMU, Nov 25: Member Legislative Council ( MLC ) and State Vice President of Bhartiya Janta Party, Vibodh Gupta  toured Pathan Morah, Mubarakpura and Kariyan villages of Rajouri and addressed a series of public meetings.
The tour was organized to listen to the various genuine problems of the locals and to ensure the same are resolved on priority.
Addressing the gatherings MLC said that past Governments of the state have always neglected these areas and now he considers it as his duty to ensure that such step motherly is not given to these areas during his tenure.
He said that he is shocked to see that these villages are still not getting the basic facilities like roads, electricity and drinking water.
Highlighting the priorities of the present coalition Government in the State he said that the present Government is committed towards the equal development of all the three regions of the state, adding that the people must thank the Central and the State Governments for giving equal status to the migrants of Jammu at par with migrants of Kashmir.
Allocation of funds for fourlaning of Jammu Poonch highway is another very key initiative of the Government which will go a long way in boosting the economy of the region along with promotion of tourism.
Gupta informed that people of Rajouri Poonch will get their due share within the recent package of Rs 80,000 crores announced by PM of India, Narinder Modi.
Others who were accompanied him were Atam Prakash Gupta, amal Bakshi and Kapil Saral.
