JAMMU, Feb, 25: Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga has said that the Government is committed to provide equitable development of all the three regions of the State.
This was stated by the Minister while interacting with the people during public darbar held at Bari Khad village in district Samba here today.
He said that Narendra Modi Government at the Centre and PDP-BJP coalition in the State has been working towards development and welfare of the people. Ganga further said that an era of development and progress has started in the State adding that social and economic up-liftment of the weaker sections, downtrodden, women, youth and farmers is on prime agenda of both the Governments.
A good number of people drawn from different sections of the society met the Minister and took up their problems and grievances before him for redressal.
The People apprised him about the issues like road connectivity, unscheduled power cuts, less availability of ration, improvement in drinking water facilities and other developmental issues.
The Minister gave them patient hearing and assured that there genuine demands will be solved in a phased manner.
The Minister said that the construction work on various developmental projects are apace in the area and on completion of these projects it will change the socio-economic conditions of the people of the area. He said Rs 88 lakh is being spent on one km road length from Bari Khad to Dharam Saal and 4.5 km road length from Shah Talab to Bari Khad.
The Minister on the spot announced for installation of Tube Well in the area to meet out the drinking water facilities to the people.
