Govt committed to overall development of State: Nanda

REASI, Jan 20: Minister of State for Finance, Ajay Nanda today said that Coalition Government is working under a well-knit strategy to ensure overall development of the State with emphasis on deprived and unattended areas.
While chairing booth sammelan at Mandal Bhamag in Reasi near, here Nanda said that all genuine demands of the people pertaining to the development of the area would be redressed in phased manner and people would see the change on ground.
Stressing on the need to create durable assets, Minister directed the officers of the concerned departments to closely monitor the work on daily basis and to ensure that quality norms are strictly adhered to while executing the works.
Asking the people to extend cooperation to the Government for development of far flung and hilly areas, Minister said that people’s participation is imperative for effective implementation of welfare and development programmes initiated by the Central and the State Governments.
Nanda exhorted upon the people to come forward and avail maximum benefit of various social security schemes being implemented for their welfare and development. He also asked them to ensure their participation and monitoring in execution of development works being carried out in their respective areas for effective results.
The Minister asked the concerned officers to raise maximum awareness among the people regarding various welfare and development schemes so that they improve their lives by taking benefit of the same. He directed them to conduct fresh survey under several schemes so that the left-out beneficiaries are also covered and no one is deprived of the benefit of Government programmes.
On the occasion, Rajinder Sharma, Naresh Sharma, Satpal Sharma, Chain Singh, Rattan Singh, Sansar Chand and a large number of people were present.
