Govt committed to equitable development: Khan

RAJOURI, Mar 9:  Senior PDP leader and State Secretary Shahzad Khan today said that Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has initiated several measures to ensure equitable development of all the regions and sub-regions of the State.
Addressing party workers at Rajouri, Khan reminded the people that the Pir Panjal was brought on the map of development only by the previous Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Government. “The mighty Mughal road was made a dream come true and the historic cross border trade was allowed between Poonch and Rawlakot”, he added.
He said that two ambitious tunnel projects  Mughal Road tunnel and Singhpora-Vailoo tunnel which will give a new flip to the road connectivity between the two regions of the State. “There is visible improvement in various sectors and changes in the educational sector have brought tremendous reforms”, he said while claiming that Government was focused on development oriented projects.
Claiming that Government was working in transparent manner, he said, “the transparent recruitment policy followed by the Government in recruiting the constabulary has been a great achievement since it was a fair and merit based recruitment in the history of J&K”.
He requested for more such recruitments exclusively for the border districts of Rajouri and Poonch. He also requested the Government for completion of the Sports Stadium in Rajouri.
