Govt brings more services under PSGA

JAMMU, Jan 27: The J&K UT Government today brought various services under the ambit of Public Service Guarantees Act (PSGA), 2011 and designated officers and appellate authority and fixed timeline for them.
The departments which were brought under PSGA included Housing and Urban Development Department, Revenue Department and Power Development Department (PDD).
For Housing & Urban Development Department, (H&UDD) Chief Revenue Officer, will be Designated Officer for signage license for advertisement while Joint Commissioner Municipal Corporation will be First Appellate Authority and Commissioner, Municipal Corporation will be the Second Appellate Authority in this regard. The time line for the same will be 15 days.
This was stated in an order issued by GAD here today. As per order Chief Sanitation Officer (H&UDD), has been designated to accord sanction for storage of construction material including rubbish and excavated earth on the public road or pavement during construction of building or buildings in H&UDD. While Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation and Commissioner Municipal Corporation will be the first and second Appellate Authority for it, the timeline for the same will be seven days.
For registration of documents in Revenue Department, Sub Registrar and Registrar have been made designated officers for the same while Registrar and Additional Inspector General of Registration will be the first appellate authority and Additional Inspector General of Registration and Inspector General of Registration will be the second Appellate Authority. The timeline for the same will be of two days.
For the delivery of Registered documents in the same Department , Sub Registrar and Registrar will be designated officers while Registrar and Additional Inspector General of Registration will be first Appellate Authority and Additional Inspector General of Registration and Inspector General of Registration will be second Appellate Authority.
For issuance of certified copy of a duplicate document Sub Registrar and Registrar will be the designated officers in the same Department while Registrar and Additional Inspector General of Registration will be the first appellate Authority and Additional Inspector General of Registration and Inspector General of Registration will be the Second Appellate Authority. The timeline for the same will also be of two days.
In Power Development Department (PDD) for installation of DG sets up to 100 KVA, the concerned Executive Engineer will be the designated officer while Superintending Engineer of O&M Circle will be the first Appellate Authority and Chief Engineer Distribution will be the Second Appellate Authority in this regard. The timeline for the same will be 15 days.
For seeking NOC for installation of DG sets above 100 KVA Superintending Engineer of O&M Circle will be designated Officer while Chief Engineer, Distribution will be the first Appellate Authority and Managing Director, Distribution Corporation will be second Appellate Authority.
