JAMMU, Nov 18: Taking a dig at Bhartiya Janta Party and Jammu & Kashmir Government for mishandling the issue of protest by package employees, Aam Aadmi Party’s State senior spokesperson Jagdeep Singh said that Government is pressurising employees to resume duties through dictatorial mode thus putting them in a situation of panic.
Talking to media persons, Jagdeep Singh said that ongoing dharna of employees of special package as well as reserved category employees is a sensitive issue to deal with as it is concerning employees who are backbone of system and putting forth their genuine demand.
He said: “Issue of these employees is a human issue rather than an issue of system and employees are putting forth their genuine demands which should be addressed on priority.”
Singh, however, lambasted J&K Government and BJP for mishandling the issue and alleged that the Government was not doing much for the genuine demands of the employees who are now being pressurised to resume duties which is a dictatorial approach of Government.
He said that Government has now asked these employees on dharna to resume their duties through pressure tactics which shows that Government has failed to resolve this issue in a proper manner and is now exerting pressure on employees which is not less than harassment for them.
The AAP leader said that the Government should frame a high powered committee to resolve grievances of these employees who are putting forth their genuine demand concerning their lives.
