SRINAGAR, Oct 23: The State Government has issued instructions to all the Administrative Secretaries of the Departments, Heads of Departments, Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and the officers to ascertain the authenticity of the appointment orders produced before them.
In a circular issued by the General Administrative Department (GAD) here today, it maintained that ascertaining the authenticity of the appointment orders by appointing authorities has become must in view of the reports received by the GAD that the fake appointment orders are being produced by some unscrupulous elements.
In the circular it has been mentioned that the tendency of issuance of fake appointment orders is more witnessed at the time of closure of offices at Srinagar and Jammu and hence all concerned are intimated through this circular regarding the same.
As per the circular the authorities have been asked that the authenticity of the order from the concerned issuing authority can be conformed through phone in the first instance. Moreover the fake appointment order produced before any officer be referred to IGP Crime and concerned police station for registration of FIR against the culprits.
The circular also urged the Home Department to issue the directives to IGP Crime to deal with such cases on top priority and ensure speedy investigation against the person involved in issuing fake, forged or fraud appointment orders.
The officers have also been asked to refer the matter in case of any fake appointment order to Administrative Department who will intimate GAD about the action taken in such cases.
