JAMMU, Nov 7: The State Government today issued fresh instructions to the entire administration for adhering to the earlier guidelines for ensuring all privileged amenities to the Legislators.
An order in this regard was issued to all the Administrative Secretaries, both the Divisional Commissioners, all Heads of the Departments, all Deputy Commissioners and the Officers of J&K Police inviting their attention to the earlier Government circulars wherein detailed instructions regarding privileges and amenities to the Legislators have been notified.
During a meeting taken by the Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly with the   Chairpersons of financial and other committees of the House today, it was pointed out that the Government instructions given from time to time regarding privileges and protocol to the Legislators were not being adhered to in letter and spirit by some departments and officers.
“It is therefore enjoined upon all concerned to strictly adhere to the instructions issued from time to time regarding privileges and amenities to the Legislators. Besides, the warrant of  precedence/ order of precedence notified vide Government order number 13-H&P of 2001 dated 16-07-2001 should be strictly observed at all national, State and other functions in the State,” says the circular issued today.
Further, the circular adds, the J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development shall ensure that extending privileges/ amenities and the observance of warrant of precedence/order of precedence to the Legislators is included as a part of curriculum for the trainees at the Institute.
