Governor’s rule imposed in Jammu Kashmir

Excelsior Correspondent

Governor’s rule was imposed in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday after the delay in response by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over government formation in the state, following the demise of incumbent chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed.

This is the second time in past one year that governor’s rule has been imposed in the state.

Earlier, such rule was imposed in the state in January last year after assembly polls of 2014 threw a hung verdict.
