JAMMU, Dec 27: Reminding Governor Satya Pal Malik of his promise to fight corruption and act tough against corrupt elements, president Jammu Kashmir Bachao Tehreek and former minister, Abdul Gani Vakil today alleged the Governor has miserably failed to put his words into action.
Reiterating his demand of speedy disposal of cases pending in State Accountability Commission and Vigilance Commission against the politicians and bureaucrats, Vakil said the Governor owes an explanation to people if there is any progress in the investigation of Health Insurance scam.
Coming heavily on opportunist politics of National Conference and its leadership, Vakil said they (NC) have so much lust for power that even after being betrayed by Congress time and again both in Center and State, are ready to hug the party at any point of time for the sake of power.
He said that Mehbooba Mufti has met the same fate in the hands of BJP. Vakil asked people that the time has come that these demagogues must go and people should teach them a lesson by shunting them out in the next elections.
