Governor, CM greet people on Navratras, Navreh

JAMMU, Mar 30: Governor N. N. Vohra and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Navratras and Navreh, and prayed for their well-being and prosperity.
In his message of greetings, the Governor observed that the Navratras have a special significance for the devotees who visit the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Deviji in large numbers during this auspicious period.
The Governor also extended warm greetings to Kashmiri Pandits who celebrate the day as Navreh, the beginning of the New Year and the onset of Spring.
The Governor prayed for this auspicious period being the harbinger of harmony, brotherhood, amity, peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
In his greetings messages on Navratras, the Chief Minister prayed that the day be harbinger of peace and prosperity in the State and the country.
Omar Abdullah said that Jammu and Kashmir has a rich tradition of celebrating holly occasions and festivals in harmony, amenity and togetherness. He expressed the hope that this tradition will get further strengthened with the passage of time.
