JAMMU, Jan 11: Governor N. N. Vohra and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today greeted the people on Lohri and Makar Sankranti and hoped that these auspicious occasions would be the harbingers of peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
In his message of greetings and good wishes, the Governor observed that festivals are integral components of our composite cultural heritage which strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and promote amity and brotherhood among the people.
The Governor wished the people a Happy Lohri and Makar Sankranti and prayed for their well-being.
In his greetings message, the Chief Minister prayed for peace, prosperity and development of the State and hoped that the festivals will be harbinger of progress in the State and the country.
