SRINAGAR, Oct 15: N. N. Vohra, Governor, has greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha and prayed for their well-being and prosperity.
In his message of felicitations, the Governor hoped that this festival would further strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, brotherhood, amity, tranquility and the glorious pluralistic ethos for which Jammu and Kashmir has been known for centuries past.
The Governor prayed for peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has also felicitated people on Eid-ul-Azha wishing them well-being and prosperity.
In his Eid message, Omar Abdullah said that the holy occasion of Eid-ul-Azha imbibes in us the spirit of making sincerity and truthfulness way of life.”This holy day also teaches us to uphold the high principals of selfless service to Almighty Allah and the humanity”, he added.
“Allah Almighty counts the sincerity and purity of our intention behind performing our service for His sake, and this alone earns us His munificence and forgiveness”, he said.
