JAMMU, Dec 11: Governor N. N. Vohra, has greeted the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Eid-i-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) and expressed sincere hope that this auspicious occasion would be the harbinger of harmony, peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
In a message of greetings, the Governor said that Islam teaches us the values of brotherhood, simplicity, compassion and morality, all of which need to be vigorously inculcated in today’s trouble torn world.
The Governor prayed for the well-being and happiness of the people of the State.
Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has also greeted the people of the State on the auspicious occasion of Eid-i-Milad, the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (Sullalaho Aliahe Wasalam).
In her message of felicitation, Mehbooba Mufti hoped and prayed that this auspicious occasion would be the harbinger of harmony, peace, progress and prosperity in the State. “It’s an occasion to pray to Almighty Allah and seek His forgiveness and blessings for the entire mankind”, she said.
