JAMMU, Oct 30: The 41st meeting of the governing body of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Kakryal, was held here and extensively discussed the modalities for the future expansion of facilities to meet the emerging requirements of this tertiary care hospital and developing it as a centre for providing excellent standards of patient care.
The meeting took note of the progressive increase in the number of patients availing diagnostic and treatment facilities at this hospital, requiring augmentation of medicos, nurses and other manpower, infrastructure and equipments by taking the required short and long term measures.
Dr S S Bloeria, Member of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and Chairman of the governing body, chaired the meeting. B B Vyas, Member Shrine Board and Chairman of the Finance and Audit Committee of the Hospital; Jitendra Kumar Singh, CEO, Shrine Board, both Members of the governing body; Dr M K Kumar, Additional CEO; Dr (Brig) Man Mohan Harjai, Chief Administrative Officer, SMVDNSH; and other concerned officers and engineers from the Shrine Board participated in the meeting.
Those who took part in the governing body meeting deliberations on behalf of NVDSHPL/ NH included Dr Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, Vice Chairman, MD and Group CEO, NH; and Sunil Kumar CN, Regional Director, NH, both members of the governing body of the Hospital; A Nagarajan, Senior Vice President Finance, NH; and Dr Suneet Marwah, Chief Executive Officer, SMVDNSH.
Dr Bloeria emphasized the need for monitoring the progress on day to day basis vis-a-vis operationalising the PET CT Scanner. He also stressed for early setting up of the tele-medicine facility at this tertiary care hospital. He stressed for organising mock drills more often to assess the efficacy of disaster management preparedness and keep the manpower and equipment in the State of readiness to respond to any emergency situation quickly and most effectively.
The governing body had a detailed discussion on the feedback and suggestions of the patients and their attendants and stressed that prompt action should be taken on each and every feedback as this would go a long way in continuously improving the delivery mechanism.
Other matters that came up for discussion of the governing body meeting, included commencing of Organ Transplant facility at the Hospital besides opening of OPD-cum-Information Centre by NH at Srinagar.
