KATRA, Sep 16: The 67th meeting of Governing Body (GB) of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi (SMVD) Narayana Superspeciality Hospital Kakryal (Katra) was held here yesterday. The meeting was chaired by Dr Ashok Bhan (Member, Shrine Board).
In the meeting, Dr Ashok Bhan complimented the medical staff, paramedics and the management of the Hospital on behalf of the Shrine Board for their performance in the intervening period in respect of good faith, feedback, patient footfall, bed occupancy, revenue generation etc. as positive developments in this regard.
Besides, expansion of Wards to cater the increasing demand of patients availing treatment under Ayushman Bharat sponsored scheme was critically reviewed and several far reaching decisions were taken. The GB also directed to expedite the start of telemedicine facility in the remote areas of JKUT and strengthen/expand the ambit of services at the Jammu OPD.
The GB also reviewed the progress of implementation of the decisions taken in the past. The GB took several decisions for future growth of the Hospital and further enhancing its operational capacities and standards of patient care in tune with the emerging requirements. The Shrine Board CEO assured of Shrine Board’s full support to the evolution of the Hospital as a state of the art health care facility endeavoring to touch the lives of vast section of the society.
Suresh Kumar Sharma (Member, SMVDSB), Anshul Garg (CEO, SMVD Shrine Board), Viren Shetty (Group Chief Operating Officer, NH) and Commander Navneet Bali (Director, Northern Region, NH), who all are members of the GB, participated in the deliberations. Dr Sunil Sharma (Joint CEO, SMVDSB), Dr Gopal K Sharma (CAO, SMVDNSH) and M Muthu Mathavan (Facility Director of the Hospital), also took part in the deliberations.
Among those who also took part in the meeting included Ravi Magotra (former DG Accounts), Hem Kant Prasher (CAO, SMVDSB), A Nagarajan (Senior Vice President Finance, NH), Dr (Brig) Man Mohan Harjai (CAO, SMVDNSH), K S Dattatreya (Facility Director) and Dr (Col) R C Sahni (Medical Superintendent of the Hospital.
