JAMMU, Oct 19: Good governance of Coalition Government showing significant changes in the mindset of the people.
This was stated by Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Bimla Luthra, while addressing a meeting at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan, which was attended by National Conference women Panchs, Sarpanch and workers.
During the meeting, the participants apprised about their various demands including widow pension, electricity, old age pension, water scarcity, etc.
While speaking, Luthra assured that issued raised by the workers will be taken up with the concerned authorities for early redressal.
She said that National Conference is observing year 2012 as a women’s year in which special focus will be given to the different Central and State sponsored schemes and programmes for the prosperity and development of women folk in the J&K.
The widespread boom in tourism, prevailing peace and prosperity, brotherhood, all round equitable developmental activities and growth in economy are few examples of such changes, Luthra added.
Among others present were Veena Oberoi, Dilshada Malik, Radha, Rano, Preeto, Meena, Mohinder Kour, etc.
