JAMMU, Sept 18: General Officer Commanding (GOC), Romeo Force, Maj Gen I Narayana today reviewed security scenario in twin border districts of Poonch and Rajouri with civil and police officials.
Official sources said the meeting attended by police and civil administration officials of Poonch and Rajouri apart from Army discussed the militancy related situation in the two districts.
The infiltration attempts being made by the militants on the LoC also came up for a review, they added.
DIG Rajouri-Poonch Danish Rana, Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri and Additional DC Poonch besides other representatives of police and Army also attended the meeting and gave their view point on situation prevailing in the two districts.
The GOC Romeo Force said though the situation was normal on militancy front, still there was need to maintain vigil on every front.
Mr Rana briefed the meeting on prevailing internal security situation and steps initiated for synergy and implementation of ‘Joint Counter Agitation Strategy’ for overall improvement of security situation in the two districts.
