JAMMU, May 23: The administration of Government Medical College and Associated Hospitals (GMC&AH) Jammu has decided to enhance the OPD services from May 25.
“The OPD services in GMC&AH which are already running by proper tele-appointment will now be enhanced with effect from May 25 (Monday),” said an order issued today by Principal and Dean, GMC&AH Jammu, Dr Nasib Chand Digra.
According to the order, the number of appointments may be increased to 30 patients per OPD per day from 20 patients per OPD per day at present. At the same time, the timings of tele-appointment have been reduced by three hours. Earlier, patients could book their appointment from 10 AM to 4 PM on all working days but from today onwards they will have to take appointment between 10 AM and 1 PM.
The patients coming to Hospital without prior tele-appointment will not be liable to be seen in OPDs, the order further reads and mentioned some changes and enhanced schedule of OPD services.
As per enhanced schedule of OPDs, the Psychiatric OPD already running in premises of Medicine OPD will now run on Monday, Wednesday and Friday while the Chest Disease OPD will now run in the premises of Medicine OPD on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
In Super Speciality Hospital, the Cardiology OPD will be on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday while CTVS OPD will run on Tuesday and Friday. Nephrology OPD will be on Wednesday and Friday, Neurosurgery OPD on Tuesday and Friday while Endocrinology OPD will run only on Saturday.
Similarly, Urology OPD will run on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday whereas the OPD of Neurology will be on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
“In case a particular telephone is not working, the patients may call Control Room of GHCH for appointments,” the Principal said in his order and advised the patients to come to OPD area with proper face mask and hand sanitizer and follow social distancing norms at any cost in all areas of the Hospital.
