GMC Kathua organises workshop

JAMMU, July 24: GMC, Kathua under the leadership of Principal Dr. Anjali Nadir Bhat organized two days CISP 2 workshop under the aegis of CMC, Ludhiana for its 29 faculty members after observing codal formalities of lockdown at its premises.
GMC, Kathua is the first of all the Medical Colleges in J&K to organize such a CISP 2 workshop with an online observer. The CISP 2 workshop was observed online by Dr. Anjali Jain, Prof, Anatomy, CMC Ludhiana (MCI observer) and was conducted by Dr. Sabita Yograj, Coordinator, MEU & CC (Medical Education Unit & Curriculum Committee) and Prof & Head, Dept of Physiology along with the dedicated resource faculty of GMC, Kathua, Dr. K L Gupta, Prof & Head (Dept. of Biochemistry), Dr Rajrishi Sharma, Prof & Head, (Dept of Surgery), Dr Anil Mehta, Prof & Head (Dept of Obs & Gynae), Dr Vineeta Sawhney, Prof & Head (Dept. of Pharmacology), Dr. Virender Kumar, Assoc Prof & Head (Dept. of Pediatrics) and Dr.Nishupriya, Assoc. Prof (Dept. of Obs & Gynae).
The faculty of GMC, Kathua who participated in this workshop maintained social distancing and followed all the strict measures. The efforts of the Principal Dr. Anjali Nadir Bhat, the Coordinator Dr. Sabita Yograj, the resource faculty,and the participants were applauded by the MCI observer Dr. Anjali Jain and Dr. Dinesh Badyal,Convener, Professor, Department of Medical Education & Pharmacology, MCI Nodal Centre for Faculty Development, Christian Medical College, Ludhiana.
The workshop will help the faculty of GMC, Kathua to implement and teach the CBME based UG curriculum more effectively to its MBBS students and will improve the standard of medical education at GMC, Kathua.
