JAMMU, Apr 19: General Line Teachers’ Forum (GLTF) has demanded the Government to revoke Order No 469 of 2014, which provide for inclusion of 5 years of temporary service of ReTs for seniority.
While addressing a press conference, Neeraj Sharma, State president, GLTF, said that the Government should revoke the Order No 469 of 2014 dated 25-06-2014, as it was uncalled and unjustified. He also demanded “No transfer for ReTs/ RrTs whether male or female” alleging that transfer for ReTs is completely illegal and contrary to the SSA norms and if done it would jeopardize the whole education setup.
Sharma also demanded cancellation of promotions of Masters, Lecturers and Head Masters on the basis of fake degrees in the subjects like Physics, Chemistry, IT, IP or others Science subjects including the BEd degrees.
The other major demands highlighted by the Forum included disengagement of ReTs whose school have been clubbed or closed due to low or poor enrolment, screening test of ReTs by an independent agency like SSB, detachment of all the deployed and court stayed teachers/masters/lecturers from various offices and particular schools at the earliest, early adjustment of teachers promoted to Master in February 2014 and regularization of incharge incumbency in School Education Department by obeying set norms through PSC but not through routine cabinet decision by ignoring fake degrees acquired by such incharges.
The Forum appealed Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to roll back the new recruitment policy for 10+2 Lecturer, which he said, deters the serving teachers from applying, as the policy envisage lower and fixed grade for the lecturer posts.
