This has reference to the news item ‘ UN designates Azhar as global terrorist’ DE May 2, 2019.
Thank Heavens that China has finally woken up to the reality that terrorism is becoming a great threat to world, and has lent it support to designate Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar as a global terrorist. All the members of UN Security Council deserve appreciation for taking the matter to its logical conclusion. Though the member countries vacillated for almost 10 years whether to designate Azhar Masood as a global terrorist or not due to petty politics involved in the move, it underlines the fact that once these member countries take a common cause in hand, it certainly fructifies. This development will certainly give a setback to those involved in sponsoring terrorism throughout world. It is time for Pakistan to realize the gravity of the situation, and take steps to dismantle the terror network spread along the length and breadth of Pakistan.
