JAMMU: Union Minister of State DONER (Ind Charge), Development of North Eastern States, PMO, Pension, Personal, Public Grievance, Atomic energy and Space Jitendra Singh today reviewed the achievements under centrally sponsored schemes under DISHA Programme in district Doda and Kishtwar districts.

Dr Singh took a comprehensive review of physical and financial achievements of all the centrally sponsored schemes like MGNREGA, RMSA, PMGSY, NSAP, NRLM, PMUJ, SAGY.

He asked the MP to give nod to the number of projects taken up under agriculture sector in the district and sent to GoI for its approval. Dr Singh, responding to the issues raised by the legislators as well as District administration, said the present Government is committed to overall development of the region.

He asked the district administration of the twin districts to be more active in implementing the schemes and directed the concerned agencies to make best use of funds available in a time bound manner to prevent cost escalation.

He added that the Government is also considering the process of simplifying the DPR process as most of the times projects are delayed due to delay in submission of DPR. He said provision would be made for online submission of DPR with auto acknowledgment to reduce delay in approval from various offices.

Dr Singh further directed the district officers to submit UCs in time for timely release of instalments and directed Deputy Commissioners to fix timeline for 100 percent electrification of rural areas. (AGENCIES)
